The Emma Kunz story is intense, as is her healing artwork. I read a totally bonkers story about her being asked, then trying to heal and fix Hitler’s brain gone bad.
Born into a family of Swiss weavers she created each drawing in one sitting. The were never intended to be artwork but used to heal the ill. If my doctor brought in this doodle I would be like “Okay of course I feel better!” Seriously, I would.
Discovered via but does it float which only later realized that the freaking awesome Erin of Design for Mankind already wrote about. Whatevs. It just means that we are even BESTER friends now.
As a side note you HAVE TO WATCH this little film by Louis Despont. Emma Kunz was one of the inspirations cited. I found it while looking for more information about Emma Kunz. Also her work is super amazing. Look!
